What Makes the Sailor Circus Unique?

Local community involvement is demonstrated by more than 150 volunteers donating more than 23,000 hours of their time each season to PAL Sailor Circus.

Through the years, more than 10,000 students have performed for more than one million attendees during the PAL Sailor Circus’ annual home-based performances (under the big top on Bahia Vista Street).

Students from the 4th to the 12th grades in Sarasota and surrounding counties have an opportunity to experience the performing arts in a CIRCUS ATMOSPHERE! They learn all aspects of the circus, including rigging, concessions, costume design, props, as well as performing acts in tumbling, unicycle, juggling, high wire, flying trapeze, clowning and much more.

PAL Sailor Circus is a major tourist attraction for Florida’s Gulf Coast. Each year, more than 25,000 fans attend performances in the PAL Sailor Circus Arena. More than 60 percent of the audience comes from out of town or out of state to see the performances.
